I first encountered astrology almost twenty years ago, fresh out of college, when an artist friend, then in her sixties, taught me to read a chart. For years I kept it in my back pocket as a party trick. About seven years ago, I came back to it in earnest.

Astrology helps me make sense of the world around me and the world within me. But its beautiful paradox is that it also teaches us when to stop making sense of things and let them be. That's what I try to hold in every reading: real curiosity about what the chart shows, alongside respect for free will and the human experience in all its glorious messiness.
